New Hope Housing Ennis is a senior housing community in the quickly developing Houston neighborhood of East Downtown. The building form is designed to protect the courtyard from the noise pollution brought by the neighboring freeway, I-45. Resident amenities and supportive services are located to active the courtyard, and the street front along Ennis St.

Highly visible from the elevated and swooping roads of the adjacent freeway, the exterior of the building is adorned with three 10’ x 36’ laser cut panels featuring prairie themed imagery. These metal panels also work as a ‘book end’, complimenting another set of custom metal panel murals located further along the freeway, on a previously completed project.
