Nathan’s undergraduate degree (BLA, Iowa State University, College of Design) and career in landscape architecture has allowed him to work on a diverse group and scale of projects from concept design through to construction. From studying the dense urban fabric of ancient city Rome; to working on high density residential, neighborhood planning, and public park projects in California; to designing and building transitional housing in Haiti; his career has taken him to many culturally rich parts of the world. After living and working in Haiti, he obtained his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Houston where he focused his studies around affordable housing and designing for the less fortunate. His thesis project proposed a community center that addressed the lack of clean drinking water in the center of one of Haiti’s most impoverished urban slums. Nathan spends his spare time pursuing professional licensure, exercising and playing tennis, and having fun with his family.
